Chicken Parmesan always feels special at dinner. It is crispy, cheesy, and full of rich tomato flavor. This Bobby Flay Chicken Parmesan Recipe is one of my favorite comfort meals.

Ingredients
  

For the Chicken

  • 2 large chicken breasts
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1 ½ cups Italian breadcrumbs
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon dried oregano
  • ½ cup olive oil for frying

For the Sauce

  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 2 garlic cloves minced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • ½ teaspoon red chili flakes
  • ½ teaspoon dried basil

For Topping

  • 8 ounces fresh mozzarella cheese sliced
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Fresh basil leaves

Instructions
 

Prepare the Chicken

  • Slice each chicken breast into two thin pieces. Place them between plastic wrap. Pound gently until even thickness. This helps the chicken cook evenly and stay tender during frying.

Season the Chicken

  • Sprinkle salt, pepper, garlic powder, and oregano over the chicken pieces. Rub the seasoning well on both sides. Let the chicken rest for five minutes before breading.

Set Up the Breading Station

  • Place flour in one bowl. Whisk eggs and milk in another bowl. Mix breadcrumbs with Parmesan cheese in the third bowl. Keep everything ready near the stove.

Bread the Chicken

  • Dip each chicken piece into flour first. Then coat it in egg mixture. Finally, press it into breadcrumbs. Make sure every piece gets fully coated for extra crunch.

Fry the Chicken

  • Heat olive oil in a large frying pan. Fry chicken for about four minutes per side. The crust should look golden brown and crispy. Place fried chicken on paper towels.

Make the Sauce

  • Heat olive oil in a saucepan. Add garlic and cook for one minute. Stir in marinara sauce, basil, and chili flakes. Simmer gently for ten minutes until flavorful.

Assemble the Dish

  • Preheat the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Spread a little sauce in a baking dish. Place chicken pieces over the sauce. Spoon extra sauce lightly on top.

Add the Cheese

  • Place mozzarella slices over each chicken piece. Sprinkle Parmesan cheese on top. The cheese will melt beautifully and create a rich golden topping while baking.

Bake Until Perfect

  • Bake for about fifteen minutes. The cheese should bubble and turn lightly golden. Remove from the oven carefully and let it rest for two minutes before serving.

Garnish and Serve

  • Top with fresh basil leaves before serving. Serve hot with pasta, garlic bread, or salad. Every bite tastes cheesy, crispy, and comforting.
