Ingredients

  • 12 ounces pasta
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 small onion chopped
  • 3 garlic cloves minced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup shredded parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 2 tablespoons chopped parsley

Instructions

Boil the Pasta

  • Fill a large pot with water and bring it to a boil. Add salt and pasta. Cook until slightly firm. Save half a cup of pasta water before draining the pasta completely.

Cook the Onion

  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add chopped onions and cook slowly for about five minutes. Stir often until soft, golden, and sweet-smelling.

Add Garlic

  • Add minced garlic to the onions. Stir gently for one minute. The garlic should smell fragrant but not burnt. This step builds rich flavor for the creamy beef pasta sauce.

Brown the Beef

  • Add ground beef to the skillet. Break it apart with a wooden spoon while cooking. Cook until brown and fully done. Drain extra grease if the beef looks too oily.

Add Seasonings

  • Sprinkle salt, pepper, paprika, and Italian seasoning over the beef mixture. Stir well so every bite gets coated with flavor. The warm spices make this dish extra cozy.

Stir in Tomato Paste

  • Add tomato paste to the pan and mix well. Cook for two minutes. This helps deepen the flavor and gives the creamy sauce a richer taste and color.

Pour in Beef Broth

  • Slowly pour beef broth into the skillet. Stir gently while scraping the bottom of the pan. Let the mixture simmer for five minutes to blend all flavors together.

Add Cream and Cheese

  • Reduce the heat to low. Pour in heavy cream and add parmesan cheese. Stir slowly until the cheese melts fully and the sauce becomes creamy and smooth.

Mix Pasta into Sauce

  • Add cooked pasta into the creamy beef sauce. Toss gently until every piece is coated. Add a little reserved pasta water if the sauce feels too thick.

Finish and Serve

  • Stir in butter and fresh parsley before serving. Spoon the creamy beef pasta into bowls and serve warm. The creamy texture tastes perfect on chilly evenings.

Notes

  • Use penne, rotini, or shells for the best texture.
  • Add mushrooms for extra earthy flavor.
  • Spinach works great in this creamy pasta recipe.
  • Try mozzarella cheese for a stretchier sauce.
  • Use ground turkey instead of beef if preferred.
  • Add crushed red pepper for a spicy version.
  • Fresh parmesan tastes better than packaged cheese.
  • Don’t boil the sauce too hard after adding cream.
