Ingredients
  

  • 3 ripe bananas mashed
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon optional
  • 3/4 cup chocolate chips

Instructions
 

Mash the Bananas

  • Take a large bowl and add the ripe bananas. Use a fork to mash them well. They should be smooth with a few small lumps. This step helps create a soft texture in your banana bread.

Mix Wet Ingredients

  • Add melted butter to the mashed bananas. Then add sugar, brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract. Mix everything gently with a whisk. Make sure all ingredients are well combined and smooth.

Add Dry Ingredients

  • Now add flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon. Mix slowly using a spatula. Do not overmix. Stop when you no longer see dry flour. This keeps the bread soft and fluffy.

Fold in Chocolate Chips

  • Add chocolate chips to the batter. Fold them gently using a spatula. Make sure they are spread evenly. This gives chocolate flavor in every bite.

Prepare the Pan

  • Grease your loaf pan with butter or oil. You can also use parchment paper. This prevents the bread from sticking and makes it easy to remove later.

Pour and Bake

  • Pour the batter into the prepared pan. Spread it evenly. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F) for 50–55 minutes. The top should be golden and firm.

Check and Cool

  • Insert a toothpick in the center. If it comes out clean, your bread is ready. Let it cool in the pan for 10 minutes. Then move it to a rack to cool fully.

  • Use overripe bananas for best flavor
  • Do not overmix the batter
  • Add nuts like walnuts for crunch
  • Try dark chocolate chips for rich taste
  • Add a pinch of nutmeg for extra flavor
  • Use whole wheat flour for a healthier option
