Ingredients
  

  • 12 large sea scallops side muscle removed
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Season with salt and freshly ground black pepper according to your preference.
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Juice of one lemon
  • Fresh parsley chopped for garnish

Instructions
 

  • Pat the scallops dry with paper towels and season both sides with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and smoked paprika.
  • Heat the olive oil and butter in a large frying pan over medium-high heat until hot.
  • Gently arrange the scallops in the pan, making sure they do not overlap.
