Ingredients
  

  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup unsalted butter softened
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon milk
  • 1 teaspoon red food coloring
  • 24 –30 Hershey’s Kisses unwrapped
  • ¼ cup sugar for rolling

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  • In a bowl, mix flour, cocoa, soda, and salt.
  • In another bowl, cream butter and sugars.
  • Beat until light and fluffy.
  • Add egg, vanilla, milk, and food coloring.
  • Mix until smooth and red.
  • Gradually add dry ingredients to wet.
  • Mix until dough forms.
  • Roll dough into small balls.
  • Coat each ball in sugar.
  • Place on baking sheet two inches apart.
  • Bake for 9–11 minutes.
  • Remove and immediately press Hershey’s Kiss on top.
  • Cool on rack completely before serving.

Notes

  1. Chill dough for 20 minutes for perfect shape.
  2. Use gel red coloring for deeper color.
  3. Don’t overbake—cookies firm up while cooling.
  4. Unwrap Hershey’s Kisses before baking starts.
  5. Store in airtight jars for longer freshness.
