Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 ½ cups sugar
  • ½ cup unsalted butter soft
  • 1 cup milk
  • 3 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt

For the frosting:

  • 1 cup butter soft
  • 3 cups powdered sugar
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 –3 tablespoons milk

Instructions
 

Prepare the Oven and Pans

  • Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F). Grease your cake pans with butter. Line them with parchment paper. This helps the cake come out easily after baking.

Mix the Dry Ingredients

  • Take a bowl and add flour, baking powder, and salt. Mix them well using a spoon. This step helps spread the baking powder evenly in the batter.

Cream Butter and Sugar

  • In another bowl, beat butter and sugar together. Mix until light and fluffy. This step is very important for a soft cake texture.

Add Eggs One by One

  • Add eggs one at a time into the butter mixture. Mix well after each egg. This keeps the batter smooth and prevents it from breaking.

Add Vanilla Extract

  • Pour in the vanilla extract. Mix gently. This gives the cake its classic sweet flavor and aroma.

Combine Dry and Wet Ingredients

  • Now add the dry ingredients slowly into the wet mixture. Add milk in parts. Mix gently until everything is smooth. Do not overmix.

  • Beat butter until creamy. Add powdered sugar slowly. Mix well. Add vanilla and milk. Beat until smooth and fluffy.
