Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup unsalted butter soft
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon orange zest
  • ½ cup fresh orange juice
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup milk

Optional glaze:

  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 –3 tablespoons orange juice

Instructions
 

Prepare the Oven and Pan

  • Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F). Grease your loaf pan with butter. You can also line it with parchment paper. This helps the cake come out easily after baking.

Cream Butter and Sugar

  • In a large bowl, beat butter and sugar together. Mix until light and fluffy. This step takes about 3–4 minutes. Do not rush. It helps make the cake soft.

Add Eggs One by One

  • Add eggs one at a time. Mix well after each egg. This keeps the batter smooth. Scrape the sides of the bowl if needed.

Add Orange Flavor

  • Now add orange zest, fresh juice, and vanilla extract. Mix gently. The fresh orange smell will be amazing at this step.

Mix Dry Ingredients

  • In another bowl, mix flour, baking powder, and salt. Stir well so everything spreads evenly.

Combine Wet and Dry Ingredients

  • Add dry ingredients slowly into the wet mixture. Add milk in between. Mix gently. Do not overmix or the cake will be dense.

Pour into Pan
