  • 2/3 cup heavy cream
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries chopped
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest optional

Prepare the Oven and Tray

  • Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F). Line a baking tray with parchment paper. This step helps the scones bake evenly. It also prevents sticking and keeps the bottoms from burning.

Mix the Dry Ingredients
