- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 packet taco seasoning mix
- 12 corn tortillas
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 cup shredded lettuce
- 1 cup diced tomatoes
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/4 cup chopped onions
- 1/4 cup chopped cilantro
- Cooking oil
Prepare the Beef: In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until fully browned. Drain excess fat. Add the taco seasoning mix according to the packet instructions, stirring well. Simmer for 5 minutes.
Prepare the Tortillas: Heat a small amount of cooking oil in another skillet over medium-high heat. Lightly fry each tortilla until crispy, then drain on paper towels.
Assemble the Tacos: Sprinkle a generous amount of grated Parmesan cheese on one side of each tortilla while they are still warm. This will help the cheese stick to the shell.
Fill the Tacos: Add a spoonful of seasoned beef into each cheesy tortilla. Top with shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, onions, and cilantro. Add a sprinkle of shredded cheddar cheese.
Final Touch: Serve the tacos with a dollop of sour cream on the side or directly on top, as preferred.
- Chicken Tacos: Substitute ground beef with shredded chicken seasoned with taco spices.
- Vegetarian Tacos: Use black beans and grilled vegetables instead of meat.
- Spicy Tacos: Add jalapeños or a spicy salsa for an extra kick.
- Fish Tacos: Use grilled or fried fish fillets as the main filling.
- Breakfast Tacos: Fill with scrambled eggs, bacon, and cheese for a breakfast twist.
