Ingredients

  • 300 g pasta penne or fettuccine
  • 400 g ground beef
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 medium onion chopped
  • 4 garlic cloves minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon chili flakes
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt adjust to taste
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 1/2 cup pasta water reserved
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

Boil the Pasta

  • Fill a large pot with water and add salt. Bring it to a boil. Add pasta and cook until al dente. Stir occasionally to prevent sticking. Once cooked, drain and keep half cup pasta water aside for later use.

Cook the Beef

  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet. Add chopped onions and cook until soft. Add minced garlic and stir for aroma. Now add ground beef. Cook until browned and fully cooked. Break it into small pieces while cooking evenly.

Build the Flavor Base

  • Add tomato paste to the cooked beef. Mix well until it coats the meat. Sprinkle salt, pepper, chili flakes, and Italian seasoning. Stir everything together and cook for two to three minutes. This step builds rich and deep flavor.

Create the Creamy Sauce

  • Lower the heat and pour in milk and heavy cream slowly. Stir continuously to avoid lumps. Let it simmer gently until the sauce becomes smooth and slightly thick. Do not boil too fast, or cream may split.

Add Cheese and Pasta Water

  • Add grated parmesan cheese into the sauce. Stir until melted and creamy. Now pour in reserved pasta water slowly. This helps the sauce become silky and cling to pasta. Adjust thickness as needed for perfect creamy texture.

Combine Pasta and Sauce

  • Add cooked pasta into the creamy beef sauce. Toss everything gently until pasta is fully coated. Let it cook for two minutes on low heat. This allows flavors to blend perfectly and makes every bite rich and creamy.

Final Touch and Garnish

  • Turn off the heat and sprinkle fresh parsley on top. You can add extra parmesan for more richness. Serve hot immediately for best taste. The pasta should look creamy, glossy, and full of comforting beef flavor.

Notes

  • Always use fresh garlic for stronger flavor
  • Add mushrooms for extra earthy taste
  • Use chicken instead of beef for lighter version
  • Add spinach for more nutrition
  • Do not overcook pasta, keep it slightly firm
  • Let sauce rest for 2 minutes before serving
  • Add a pinch of sugar if tomato taste is strong
