Ingredients
  

  • 4 large flour tortillas
  • 1 lb ground beef or chicken
  • 1 cup cooked white rice
  • 1 cup black beans drained and rinsed
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup chopped fresh cilantro
  • 1 cup salsa your choice of mild or hot
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 avocado sliced
  • 1 lime cut into wedges
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Cooking oil

Instructions
 

  • Cook the Meat: In a large skillet, heat a tablespoon of oil over medium heat. Add the ground beef or chicken, season with salt and pepper, and cook until browned. Drain any excess grease.
  • Warm the Tortillas: Heat a tortilla press or skillet and gently warm the flour tortillas until they are soft and pliable.
  • Assemble the Burritos: Lay out the warm tortillas and evenly distribute the cooked rice, black beans, cooked meat, and shredded cheese among them.
  • Add Toppings: Top each with salsa, sour cream, avocado slices, and a sprinkle of fresh cilantro.
  • Wrap the Burritos: Begin by lifting the bottom edge of the tortilla over the fillings, then tuck in the sides and firmly roll forward to form a tight cylinder.
  • Final Touch: Return the rolled burritos to the skillet and heat briefly on each side to crisp up the tortillas and melt the cheese.
  • Serve: Cut each burrito in half, serve with lime wedges, and enjoy!
