Sticky Hoisin Meatballs Recipe
Recipes Walay
Sticky Hoisin Meatballs Recipe is one of my favorite dinner ideas. It is sweet, savory, and full of rich flavor. The meatballs stay juicy inside and get coated with a shiny hoisin sauce.

Mix the Meatball Ingredients
Place the beef and pork into a large bowl. Add breadcrumbs, egg, garlic, ginger, green onions, soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, and pepper. Mix gently until everything is combined.
Make the Sticky Hoisin Sauce
While the meatballs bake, combine hoisin sauce, soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, ketchup, sesame oil, ginger, and garlic in a saucepan. Heat gently over medium heat until smooth.
Garnish and Serve
Sprinkle sesame seeds and chopped green onions over the meatballs. Serve them warm with steamed rice, noodles, or roasted vegetables. Every bite is sweet, savory, and delicious.
- Use ground chicken or turkey for a lighter version.
- Mix the meat gently. Overmixing makes the meatballs firm.
- Fresh garlic and ginger give the best flavor.
- Add a pinch of red pepper flakes for extra heat.
- Use panko breadcrumbs for softer meatballs.
- Double the sauce if serving with rice or noodles.
- Sprinkle chopped cilantro for fresh color and flavor.
- Add steamed broccoli or snap peas to make a complete meal.
- Make smaller meatballs for party appetizers.
- Replace honey with maple syrup for a different sweetness.
