Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb ground beef 80/20 blend
  • 1 medium yellow onion thinly sliced
  • 1 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 8 slices rye bread
  • 8 slices Swiss cheese
  • 2 tbsp mayonnaise
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
  • Optional: garlic powder Worcestershire sauce

Instructions
 

  • Form beef into 4 thin, round patties. Season with salt.
  • Heat butter in skillet. Add onions. Cook until golden.
  • Remove onions. Grill patties in the same skillet. Flip once.
  • Spread mayonnaise on outer sides of rye bread.
  • Layer Swiss cheese, patty, onions, more cheese between bread.
  • Grill sandwich on skillet. Press gently. Cook until golden.
  • Flip and repeat. Melt cheese fully. Bread should be crispy.
