Equipment

  • Grill or skillet
  • Mixing bowl
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Tongs
  • Aluminum foil
  • Cutting board
  • Chef’s knife
  • Marinating dish or resealable plastic bag

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs of beef tips
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 3 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
  • 3 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • Fresh parsley chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  • Marinate: In a mixing bowl, combine soy sauce, olive oil, balsamic vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, minced garlic, Dijon mustard, brown sugar, black pepper, salt, and red pepper flakes. Whisk until well mixed.
  • Prepare Steak Tips: Place the beef tips in a marinating dish or resealable plastic bag. Pour the marinade over the steak tips, making sure they are well-coated. Seal and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or overnight for best results.
  • Preheat Grill: Heat your grill to medium-high heat. Remove the steak tips from the marinade, letting the excess drip off.
  • Grill: Place the steak tips on the grill. Cook for 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach the desired doneness.
  • Rest: Remove the steak tips from the grill and let them rest for a few minutes under aluminum foil to retain juiciness.
  • Serve: Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot.

Notes

  • Marinate Longer: For deeper flavor, let the steak tips marinate overnight.
  • High Heat: Cook on high heat to sear the outside and lock in juices.
  • Don't Overcrowd: Grill in batches if necessary to ensure even cooking.
  • Let Rest: Allowing the meat to rest after grilling keeps it juicy and tender.
  • Check Doneness: Use a meat thermometer to avoid overcooking.
