  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • Shredded cheddar cheese for topping
  • Sour cream for topping

Instructions
 

  • Starting with the Oil: Begin by warming the olive oil in a substantial pot set over medium heat. Toss in the finely chopped onions and minced garlic, cooking until the onions are clear and soft.
  • Meat Browning Step: Introduce the ground beef to your heated pot. Continue cooking until the meat is thoroughly browned and has broken into small pieces.
  • Mix in the Spices: Stir in the chili powder, cumin, salt, pepper, and paprika, ensuring the beef is evenly coated.
  • Add Tomatoes and Beans: Pour in the tomato sauce and diced tomatoes along with the kidney beans. Stir well to combine.
  • Simmer: Reduce the heat to low and let the chili simmer for about 30 minutes to blend the flavors together.
