Equipment

  • Mixing bowls
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Whisk
  • Baking pan (9x13 inches)
  • Parchment paper
  • Oven
  • Cooling rack

Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ cup honey
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 9x13 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the melted butter and sugar. Whisk until smooth.
  • Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  • Sift together the flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Gradually add to the wet ingredients, mixing until well combined.
  • Pour half of the batter into the prepared baking pan.
  • Drizzle the honey and sprinkle cinnamon evenly over the batter.
  • Pour the remaining batter over the top, using a spatula to ensure even coverage.
  • Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out mostly clean.
  • Allow to cool in the pan on a wire rack before slicing.

Notes

  • Ensure all ingredients are at room temperature to achieve a smooth batter.
  • Do not overmix the batter once the flour is added; mix just until you see no streaks of flour.
  • For a moister brownie, consider underbaking by a couple of minutes.
  • Let the brownies cool completely in the pan before cutting to get clean slices.
  • Experiment with adding a layer of cream cheese or peanut butter in the middle for extra richness.
